KUE Representative on the Jury of the International Economics Olympiad
During the 2025 International Economics Olympiad finals, held on 22–23 August in Olympia, Greece, Grzegorz Wałęga, PhD, Associate Professor at the Krakow University of Economics (KUE), served as a member of the international jury. The event brought together national teams from 31 countries across four continents.
The Polish team, selected from the laureates of the 38th Economic Knowledge Contest (owe.pte.pl), won three silver medals and one bronze medal. The involvement of academic staff from the Krakow University of Economics in the Economic Knowledge Contest, including work within the National Committee and the competition jury, highlights KUE’s active role in advancing economic education. The National Committee of the Olympiad also includes Ryszard Kowalski, PhD, Associate Professor at KUE. The organisation of the Economic Knowledge Contest is also actively supported by Czesława Pilarska, PhD, Associate Professor at KUE, Chair of the Regional Committee of the Economic Knowledge Contest, and Katarzyna Kłosowicz-Toborek, PhD, Secretary of the Regional Committee of the Economic Knowledge Contest.
