• Jakub Janus, Associate Professor

    Assistant professor in the Department of Macroeconomics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Economics (2012), a master’s degree in Computer Science and Econometrics (2013), and a PhD from the Faculty of Economics and International Relations at the University of Economics in Kraków (2016). Two-time recipient of a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education. Author of the doctoral dissertation “Strategies for Major Central Banks to Exit Unconventional Monetary Policy,” written under the supervision of Prof. Andrzej Wojtyna and defended in 2018.

    His research interests focus on monetary economics and the macroeconomics of an open economy. He has published in “Gospodarka Narodowa” and “Ekonomista.” He teaches courses in macroeconomics and mathematical economics. He teaches economics at high schools, children’s universities, and universities of the third age. He tries to discuss these topics in the media.
