Textbook “Fundamentals of Managerial Economics” by Dr Adrian Solek, Prof. UEK

In 2024, the UEK publishing house released a textbook authored by Dr. Adrian Solek, a UEK professor, titled “Fundamentals of Managerial Economics”.

This work introduces the key issues of managerial economics. Its goal is to present practical economic problems a manager might face in their work, deepen theoretical understanding of how organizations operate and how economic decisions are made, and develop managerial skills while strengthening the ability to use research methods in economics.

The study will help the Reader understand economic analysis methods and tools. It will also provide insights into company decision-making under conditions of certainty, risk, uncertainty, and conflict, while fostering independent decision-making skills in managerial issues. To support comprehension, the work features many examples linked to theoretical points, including calculation exercises with solutions and graphs that clarify the principles presented.

The textbook is useful for students studying economics and management sciences, as well as for those in psychology, political science, law, and administration. Additionally, it can serve as a resource for anyone interested in practical decision-making methods, even outside of professional contexts.
