Jan Balliauw is an expert, journalist and specialist in diplomacy and defence. For over 30 years, he was a senior reporter for VRT NWS, focusing on Eastern Europe. He has covered topics including the war in Ukraine, the events on Maidan, the annexation of Crimea, and the conflict in Donbas. He previously worked as a correspondent in Moscow, preparing materials on Russia and the countries of the former communist bloc. As a foreign and defence correspondent, he has also participated in numerous international summits.<\/p>
